University Museum, 3219 Hudson Road, Cedar Falls Experience the beauty of our natural world with two photography exhibits this fall at the University Museum. Open Aug. 29-Oct. 24, "Fragile Nature" is a breathtaking view of the most fearsome, delicate and endangered species of our world through the lens of National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore. On display Nov. 2-Dec. 23, the photography of Jim Brandenburg is featured in "Touch the Sky," a tribute to the beautiful vistas and iconic creatures of the American prairie. Open Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:30pm and Saturdays 1:00-4:00pm.

Joined by many local dancers, the Minnesota Ballet will bring the holiday spirit to life once again with the story of Little Clara, the young girl who received the Nutcracker as a gift, and her enchanted dream of Princes and Princesses, Sugarplums, and Toy Soldiers. Tchaikovsky's romantic score, the colorful scenery, lush period costumes, and skillful ballet performances make The Nutcracker a must-see for the holiday season..
