Optional Information Uses
Optional information enables us to provide services or information tailored more specifically to your needs, to forward your message or inquiry to another entity that is better able to do so, and to plan Web site improvements.
We use the information you provide about yourself or about someone else, only to complete your order or request for service. We do not regularly share this information with outside parties, except to the extent necessary to complete your order or request.
Occasionally we may use certain directory information that we have collected to send you information about UNI that we think may be of interest to you. If you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used as a basis for further contact with you, we will respect your wishes. Please contact the UNI office you requested information from to request your name be removed from our lists. Such addresses are generally not used for any other purpose and by university and state policy are not generally shared with outside parties.
Guests should keep in mind that e-mail is not secure and others may have access to your transmissions. We suggest that guests do not include personal or confidential information they do not wish to become public in e-mail messages to the university. Likewise, we will not include confidential information in our e-mail responses to you.
Finally, UNI does not sell or rent any personal data submitted by visitors to our site to any third parties. Other than directory information, UNI makes every reasonable effort to ensure that the data you provide to us as you use UNIís Web site will be held in strict confidence by UNI and its employees and will be used for UNI purposes only. The university may share aggregate information about our users with business partners, sponsors and other third parties. We will not share your personal data with anyone else, except as may be required by law.
